Community Initiatives

In addition to educating Wisconsin's healthcare workforce, the WGEC supports several community events each year. These educational events are FREE and open to the public. Our intent is to help older adults and caregivers better manage their health and access available resources in the community.

Breaking the Silence

Annual events in Milwaukee and Racine designed to raise awareness in communities of color about Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia.

Alzheimer's Public Lecture

Annual public lecture held in Madison designed to educate the public about Alzheimer's disease, participation in research studies, and available resources.

Memory Screening Day

An annual event in Madison providing free memory screenings and resources.
