Milwaukee Aging Consortium

The Wisconsin Geriatric Education Center (WGEC) is proud to be recognized as a Founding Member of the Milwaukee Aging Consortium, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting all professionals who serve older adults in the Greater Milwaukee Area.  The Consortium identifies salient issues in the field of aging, disseminates information, provides educational opportunities, and facilitates collaboration.

WGEC staff have continuously worked with the Consortium since its inception.  The WGEC’s primary focus has been helping to plan, deliver, and evaluate educational presentations for the Consortium’s regular bi-monthly meetings.  Topics have included ethics & boundaries in social work, successfully staying at home, planning for the future, elder law, public policy, polypharmacy, improving care of older adults in the hospital, geriatric dentistry and other topics of interest to those working in the field of aging.
